WHAT IS IT?
The Apprenticeship Levy is a tax on employers with a payroll of over £3million per year. This is charged at 0.5% of the employer’s annual wage bill.
This came into effect in 2017 to drive the recruitment of 3 million apprentices by 2020. The levy is there to be used by employers to train their staff through apprenticeships.
Employers can access their levy fund in order to fund development of their employees - read more below on how this works and how we can help you use your funds effectively to grow your business.
