If you are looking to take your first step and pursue an exciting career in the travel industry, then we have vacancies for Travel Consultant Apprentices in Retail Travel stores throughout the UK waiting for you.

​If you have a passion for travel and holidays, whether it's the trip of a lifetime, a family vacation, or even a romantic getaway for 2, your role as a Travel Consultant Apprentice is to make your customers' dreams come true by creating memories that will last forever!

Travel Consultants play a highly responsible role in delivering a range of often complex travel arrangements, accommodation bookings and ancillary services to help to ensure customers have a friendly and helpful booking experience as well as a great holiday.

Typical Duties

On a typical day, you might be...

  • Creating, updating and developing window offers

  • Working with the Social Media Team to develop new offers for social media platforms

  • Replying to customer enquiries via email, telephone and social media

  • Issuing customer documentation for travel

  • Keeping the retail and office space well presented

  • Collecting and receiving payments

  • Taking detailed holiday briefs and matching products to customer needs

  • Making recommendations to customers

  • Taking bookings and loading onto internal systems

  • Researching holiday destinations and keeping up to date with developments in the travel industry

  • Ensuring all security procedures are followed

Entry Requirements

You will usually need 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent including English, Maths and ICT.

If you haven’t already achieved GCSEs (or equivalent), you will also be expected to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills English and maths before completing your apprenticeship.
